What can I say, Christie delivers results! When she and I first met to discuss listing my townhome I explained to her the tight time frame by which I wanted to have the home sold by. Over the past decade we have developed a very close relationship with her, and trust her guidance implicitly when it comes to her knowledge of the real estate market both in the greater New Orleans area and on the North Shore. I highly recommend Christie Kennedy as a realtor – not only for buying or selling a house, but also for helping newcomers to the GNO area become familiar with the various neighborhoods and communities AND for assisting in finding temporary housing when appropriate.

I was first introduced to Christie in January 2004 a few weeks before my husband and I transferred from an overseas posting with Shell Oil to New Orleans. We’d corresponded by e-mail and I was able to travel to the area to jumpstart our move prior to its execution. Christie had several temporary apartments to show me and I was able to secure a lease the same day on something suitable for my family. She proceeded to take me on a driving tour and even showed me a few homes for sale that day so I’d have a feel for the area and the market values of various properties.

When my family and I arrived in New Orleans at the end of January 2004 it was comforting to know we had a furnished apartment ready for us to move into. After a few days of settling in we commenced the home search. Christie was patient with me and my four year old daughter who tagged along days after days, weeks after weeks. I was having a hard time narrowing down neighborhoods and homes I thought appropriate. Additionally, my older daughter was in school and I was in charge of her transportation which limited the hours I was available to look. FINALLY in April we found a property we liked. We secured an accepted offer, performed inspections, and agreed on repairs. And then the deal fell apart. Back to searching. Thankfully we quickly found another property in the same neighborhood and that deal went through without problem and we moved in June 2004.

Christie stayed in touch over the years – never too much but enough to keep up a casual relationship. So after our daughters started college and we were ready to move on we were happy to have Christie be our selling agent. She came prepared to our meeting with market information pertinent to our area (which is a challenge given there are properties that sell for over $2 million not one block from small ranch homes valued at $200 thousand that are in turn around the corner from multi-family units). We told Christie that we planned to be moved out of the home before we wanted the property shown and agreed that marketing would commence at the end of August 2019. We moved out, Christie arranged for someone to come in and thoroughly clean the empty house and it went on the market. Within a week we had a signed offer and began inspections. Her pricing advice was spot-on, her advice during negotiations was wise and knowledgeable, and her assistance and company are friendly and welcome.

I have known Christie Kennedy now for 16 years and I am so thankful for her time and advice and help and definitively recommend her services.

In January my family and I relocated to New Orleans from The Hague, The Netherlands. The house was marketed well and sold in a very reasonable time period. She has great attention to detail. There were absolutely no issues at closing.

As a testament to Christie’s performance I have utilized her for other real estate transactions related to a rental property I own. She would also be my first choice if I were to sell that property or look for another home.

We have known Christie for a number of years during which time, we have learned to trust and value her guidance. I contacted Christie when we decided to sell our 15 unit apartment building in Esplanade Ridge, New Orleans. Being very busy people, we felt that the sale had to be handled by someone who had an eye for detail and would look out for our best interests. After viewing the property, she told us that our asking price of $275,000 was too low and recommended $320,000 instead. Needless to say, the property appraised for $325,000 two weeks later, and is now under contract for $300,000. Our closing date is less than twenty days away.

This was a very complicated sale and required the coordination and cooperation of both tenants and the buyer’s detail-oriented inspection team. Christie managed the entire process with neither of us being present. The inspection supervisor remarked that this was the first time in his ten years of inspecting properties, that he was able to get into all units of such a large building within five hours.

My wife and I were not only satisfied, but quite impressed.
